The Secret Song of the Giggling Garden
Made with LoloTalesThe Secret Song of the Giggling Garden
Layan peered through her round pink glasses at the rosebush. Her large brown eyes went wide with wonder. Under a big green leaf sat a tiny village of teacup homes and button streets. "Look, Sondos!" Layan whispered.
A tiny man in a leaf hat waved from a spool tower. "Our village is sad," he squeaked. "Our golden music bead is stuck inside the tower, so we cannot sing!" Layan wanted to make the little village giggle again.
Layan smiled her joyful smile. "I will help you," she said. She reached out her hand to grab the tiny bead. But her fingers were much too big for the little spool tower.
Sondos knelt down, her long ponytail swishing in the grass. "Be careful, Layan," Sondos said softly. "Our hands might knock over their teacup houses." Layan looked at the delicate village and felt worried.
Layan found a long, thin twig on the ground. She carefully poked the twig into the top of the spool tower. But the twig slipped! The golden bead fell even deeper into the dark wood.
The tiny folk gasped and looked very scared. Layan felt bad for making a mistake, but she did not give up. Wavy wisps of brown hair tickled her face as she thought. "I need something stretchy," she said.

Tell it the way we talk at home!

The same bedtime story, in the language of home.

Every book can be written in the language your family speaks at home. Arabic comes with or without vowel marks, and a story can be set in a real place your family knows.

A white house with a blue door on a small floating island

فَتَحَتْ لُولُو البَابَ الأَزْرَقَ الصَّغِيرَ، فَبَدَأَتِ الحَدِيقَةُ كُلُّهَا تُغَنِّي.

Read it to me, or I will read it myself!

Read together tonight. Read alone one day.

Every book is written for how your child reads right now, and it can read itself aloud when your voice needs a rest.

Read-aloud

Lolo opened the little blue door, and the whole garden began to sing.

A voice for each character, and every word lights up as it is spoken.

Four reading levels

  1. Little Readersages 2-3A few words a page, one moment at a time.
  2. Growing Readersages 4-5A picture book with one or two short sentences a page.
  3. Confident Readersages 5-7A read-aloud adventure with dialogue and a clear problem to solve.
  4. Super Readersages 8-10A short chapter book where the child solves it themselves.
In rhyme, if they love rhymesChoose rhyming verse, plain storytelling, or a book told mostly in dialogue.
A quiz and a word list after the storyOptional pages that ask what happened and teach the new words, at no extra cost.

Tell me about your real day!

Real life becomes the story.

Start from a family photo, a drawing on the fridge, or words you already wrote.

These start from a free account. Your first book is still free.

This one is about me!

A story that helps with what they are learning.

Choose one goal and the whole story is built around it. Each goal is offered only at the reading levels it suits.

  • Practice words

Name the words your child is learning to read. The story repeats them on purpose, and every book is checked for them.

  • A worry, and a way through

The dark, a first day at school, a new baby, the doctor. The hero meets the worry and tries one small step that helps.

  • The letter of the story

A book full of one letter, in your own alphabet.

  • A skill to practise

Counting, colours, shapes, staying safe, a little science, or a skill you type yourself.

One more for my shelf!

A shelf that grows with them.

One book is a lovely evening. A shelf is a childhood. Every book stays in your family library, and each new one can pick up where the last one ended.

  1. Age 3Bedtime, every night

A calm Bedtime-mood story with their name in it, slow enough to fall asleep to.

  2. Age 5A book for grandma

The same story in the language grandma speaks, ready for her next visit.

  3. Age 6The adventure continues

At the last page, start the sequel. The hero remembers everything that happened.

  4. Age 7The first day of school

Keep the real day as a book, with your own photos beside the pages.

Read them offline, or download any book as a print-ready PDF.

Paint me any way you like!

Everywhere a story can go

213 worlds, sorted by where they take you.

Each shelf is a different kind of adventure. Every world carries its own story engine, its own cast, and a picture already drawn for it - so the story that happens there could not happen anywhere else.

A small 3D planet with ice, forests and rivers, a jeep on the water and round pictures of places to visit
In the studio, every shelf is a world you can explore. On the wild planet, a jeep drives your child to the place where the story begins.

Goodnight — here is the grown-up part.

Safe by design.

  • Accounts are for grown-ups

An adult confirms their age when they sign up. Children read; parents decide.

  • Private until you choose

Every book is private by default, and only you decide who gets the link.

  • A lock for each reader

Reader profiles can have their own PIN, and kid mode keeps the grown-up pages closed.

  • No ads, no data sold

Nothing in a child’s reading space is selling anything, and we never sell your family’s data.

  • Their own coins

Give each child coins to spend on their own books. When they want more, they ask you.

For teachers and classrooms.

Every child in the class can make and read their own books, and you see all of them.

  • Sign in with a code

Each student signs in with an access code. No email address, no password to remember.

  • You read their books

Every book a student makes appears in your library, with the student's name on it.

  • Show it to the class

Present mode puts a book on the big screen, and a share link opens it on any device.

When you are ready

Good questions

How is this different from asking ChatGPT for a story?

ChatGPT gives you plain text. LoloTales makes the whole book: the same hero on every page, a painted picture on each page, and a cover. When the book is ready, you can add narration and download a print-ready PDF.

Is my child's data safe?

We follow COPPA: no ads, no selling data, no tracking of children. Stories are private by default and shared only if a parent publishes them.

How long does a book take?

Usually two to five minutes. The story is written first, then each picture is painted, and you can watch the book fill in page by page.

Can I print the book?

Yes. Every book exports to a print-ready PDF (8.5×8.5 with bleed), sized for home printing or a print shop.

What is a coin?

One coin pays for one illustrated page, in every art style. Narration is optional and costs one more coin per page. Unused coins roll over to the next month.

Can I pause or cancel?

Yes. A plan billed every month can be paused for one to three months; your coins and books stay, and billing restarts by itself. If you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Which currency do I pay in?

Families in the EU, the EEA and Switzerland pay in euros. Everyone else pays in US dollars. Prices include VAT.
